"I got transferred to these people without any input/say when my insurance agent retired. This office is terrible at communication (they never contacted us after we were transferred to them until a few years later when out of nowhere they decided we needed a new roof), they had us underinsured, and they apparently use the absolute worst underwriters/algorithms to determine what maintenance you need to do on your house. I found a much better agent (not State Farm) locally. I now have much better coverage with almost no rate increase, and the communication has been amazing. EDIT: In response to their response, cool, I get the underwriter thing. You still had me massively underinsured at not the best rates (I'm a layperson, I didn't know any better, and had something happened to my house I may have been financially ruined because of your agency). You still didn't communicate with me about my coverages (or even try to keep them in line with market values) a single time in the years since Gene Sanders retired, that is until your underwriters made you contact me about the age of my roof."

I went from $360/month for two cars down to $220 and I ended up with better coverage than I had before!
